As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Awareness in Whittier, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide welcoming customer service to visitors and staff. You will respond to concerns, communicate clearly, and support a respectful environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, families, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a memorial park and cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of grounds, buildings, parking areas, pathways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, traffic flow, and parking support during services, events, and periods of increased visitation.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and report security-related issues according to site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
