Job Summary:

Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in a healthcare setting specializing in pediatric and adult care. This role involves providing respiratory treatments, performing assessments, and supporting high-risk neonatal and pediatric patients. The position offers the opportunity to work in various departments, including emergency, obstetrics, and specialized labs, supporting a diverse patient population.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, with day and night rotations, including weekends every other week, and holiday coverage when in block schedule
• Required Qualifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), minimum one year of experience, valid license to submit, highly prefer Epic electronic medical record experience; location and Educational Requirements per job description
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Hamilton C1 ventilators, high-risk C-section support, neonate stabilization, and high-frequency neonatal support (Neo puff)
• Responsibilities include drawing arterial blood gases, performing electrocardiograms with Istat, setting up Holter monitors, assisting with intubations, and supporting ventilator management
• Department-specific orientation includes 1-12 hour shadowing shift, with access to all necessary systems
• No scrub color restrictions; professional scrubs in any color
• Equipment: Hamilton C1 and T1 ventilators, ResMed CPAP/BIPAP devices
• Hospitalist or intensivist team available during day shifts; "Avel" on-call service supports ventilator management at night
