Help Desk Technician

Salary: $40,000 - 50,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for someone with 1-2 years of experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
• ITIL certification is preferred, though not mandatory.
• We want experience with Microsoft Active Directory for user administration, including password resets and account management.
• Familiarity with imaging PCs and laptops, as well as basic LAN networking, is important.
• Knowledge of printer and fax troubleshooting, maintenance, and support is required.
• Strong hardware support skills for laptops and desktops are needed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and related troubleshooting, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is expected.
• Excellent communication skills are necessary for working effectively with users and clients.
• Experience with help desk or ticketing platforms, mobile device troubleshooting, and antivirus tools is preferred.
• Experience setting up email clients, including Outlook and mobile email configuration, is valued.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel throughout the Chicago area and surrounding suburbs are required.

• We serve as the first point of contact for IT support, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
• We provide timely technical assistance to users and work to close issues efficiently.
• We manage user IDs, passwords, and access permissions across systems.
• We coordinate equipment orders and arrange service calls for repairs and maintenance.
• We follow established maintenance procedures to keep systems secure and running smoothly.
• We handle phone inquiries, respond to support tickets and alerts, and assist with escalated cases when needed.
• We administer help desk software and track all requests through to resolution.
• We support a range of additional IT tasks as assigned by our team.
