Our organization is excited to announce a full-time faculty position for a Board Certified Neuro-Ophthalmologist on the Clinical Educator Track (CET) based in Maywood, Illinois. This opportunity is a collaboration between a prominent medical center, a renowned medical school, and a veteran affairs hospital.
The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong passion for and prior involvement in clinical and/or basic science research. A proven track record of exceptional clinical care, along with a solid commitment to the education of residents and medical students, is essential. Candidates must possess Board Certification, have completed fellowship training, and be eligible for licensure in Illinois.
Currently, the Department of Ophthalmology comprises 23 full-time and 20 part-time clinicians who collectively handle over 65,000 patient visits annually across the main facility and four satellite locations. The department is supported by five dedicated research scientists, including two PhDs, two MDs, and one OD/PharmD. The residency program, which accommodates four residents each year, is overseen by a committed team that includes the Program Director, the Vice Chair of Education, and the Chief Resident. Additionally, the Department of Ophthalmology will be one of five departments involved in the upcoming Neuroscience Institute, alongside Neurology, Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology, and Psychiatry. The main research facility, the Center for Translational Research and Education (CTRE), spans 225,000 square feet and opened its doors in 2015, housing the Clinical Research Office and research administration.

RECRUITMENT PACKAGE
