CVICU Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CVICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in providing exceptional care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. This role involves working with a specialized team to care for patients recovering from cardiac surgery.Unit SpecificsNumber of Beds: 4Patient Ratios: 1:1 for immediate post-surgical, 1:2 for post-operative days 1-3Unit Staffing: Primary Nursing model in placeDocumentation System: Meditech ExpanseScheduling Requirements: 36 hours per week with 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeksFloating Policy: RNs will maintain the same patient ratio as the unit they are floated toQualificationsExperience: 1-2 years caring for fresh cardiac surgery patients with direct primary recoveryAdvanced Skills: ACLS certification, experience with balloon pumps, Impella training, and familiarity with Hemosphere or AcumenCertifications Required: ACLSPatient Care ResponsibilitiesThe CVICU RN will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care, closely monitoring patient progress, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Unit HighlightsOpportunity to be part of a new cardiac surgery program launchAccess to advanced medical equipment and technology for patient careStrong support from experienced staff and teamwork focused environmentDress CodeRequired uniform: Navy BlueAdditional InformationWe encourage experienced and motivated candidates to apply for this rewarding opportunity in the CVICU.
