Job TitleWe Deliver the Goods:Competitive pay and benefits, including Health & Wellness Benefits, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, RRSP, Paid Direct Drug Card, Scholarship Opportunities for children of associates, Paid Time Off, and much moreGrowth opportunities performing essential work to support North America's food distribution systemSafe and inclusive working environment, including culture of rewards, recognition, and respect.Primary Responsibilities:The ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity, and development of HR within the company.Experience with rapid and complex changing work environments.Being an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.Key strengths are recognized as - flexibility, fantastic communication skills, and huge amounts of drive.The ability to be comfortable with a high-volume workload and not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves".Strong solutions focus and comfortable working in an environment that demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions.Strong internal customer service focus.The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously - orientated on results.Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement.Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:Assists with the development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.Assists to establish departmental measurements that support the accomplishment of the company's strategic goals.Understanding and supporting the workforce with company policies and procedures.Assists with the implementation of the performance management system that includes performance development plans (PDPs) and employee development programs.Assists with the establishment of an in-house employee training system that addresses the company's training needs including training needs assessment, new employee orientation or onboarding, management development, production cross-training, the measurement of training impact, and training transfer.Provides necessary education and materials to managers and employees including workshops, manuals, employee handbooks, and standardized reports.Maintains employee training records.Focal coaching and development for supervisor level and above.Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, and laws.Recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.Participates in the conduct of investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.Advises managers and supervisors about the steps in the progressive discipline system of the company. Counsels' managers on employment issues.Assists with the monitoring of the company wage and salary structure including bonuses and raises.Provides competitive market research and prepares pay studies to help establish pay practices and pay bands that help to recruit and retain superior staff.Provides payroll processing backup support. Partners with accounting and payroll to maintain the payroll database.Participates in one salary survey per year.Company-wide committee facilitation.Company employee communication.HRIS data entry for new hires/changes/terminations and reorgs.Assist with document management and filing, both electronic and hardcopy.Maintenance of personnel records and status changes.Creating/maintaining all reports required for audit purposes.Workforce planning.Tracking of vacation, sick time, and holidays taken.Manage/assist with employee requests.Monitor and respond to shared inboxes.Employee event planning, coordination, and execution as required.Assisting with the preparation and distribution of bi-weekly payroll as required.Assist in the termination process of employees as required.Other duties as required.Performs other related duties as assigned.Special Projects:Assist with creation and execution of training and talent development.Employee file conversion.Vacation liability investigation.Titling and salary review.Others as required.Core-Mark is committed to providing accommodation to people with disabilities throughout the job application and interview process to the point of undue hardship.
