Physical Therapist in Lake Worth, FL

Contribute your skills as a Physical Therapist in a dynamic acute care hospital environment. This contract position focuses on delivering high-quality inpatient rehabilitation services within a 42-bed unit that supports orthopedic, cardiac, neurological, and general medical/surgical populations.


Schedule/Hours

• Day shift, 8-hour shifts
• One weekend per month (weekdays off provided to balance schedule)
• No night shifts
• No on-call responsibilities

Qualifications

• Active BLS certification
• Minimum of one year current experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, or skilled nursing facility settings
• Ability to work varied day shift hours as determined by surgical volume and patient needs
• Strong clinical reasoning, teamwork, and time management skills
• Compassionate approach and commitment to exceptional patient care
• Comfort with EMR systems (Meditech experience beneficial)
• DPT preferred

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver inpatient therapeutic care to a diverse caseload across orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurological, and med/surg populations
• Utilize treatment beds, exercise balls, resistance bands, treadmills, and bikes to support patient recovery
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PTs, PTAs, OTs, and leadership staff
• Adjust care schedules as needed for weekend and holiday rotation
• Manage documentation accurately within the Meditech electronic health record
