Registered Nurse

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical care. The unit consists of 34 beds with a patient ratio of 6:1. There is a Unit Secretary available for the dayshift and Patient Care Technicians on all shifts. The documentation system used is Meditech. The scheduling requirements include three 12-hour shifts per week with a requirement of four weekend shifts per schedule. Nurses may float to other departments based on need. The facility is recognized as a Level 1 trauma center and a Comprehensive Stroke Center. Advanced skills in procedures typically performed on the unit are necessary. The required uniform is navy scrubs. Unit-specific policies and guidelines are available per facility policy.
