You will help shape strategic priorities, evaluate growth opportunities, strengthen operational performance, and ensure that our financial practices support both innovation and accountability.Your leadership will directly influence how we invest resources, serve our communities, support our employees, and achieve our mission today and into the future.What You'll DoFinancial StewardshipOversee all accounting, finance, reporting, audit, budgeting, and asset management functions.Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.Lead financial forecasting, cash flow planning, and profitability analysis.Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance practices.Manage banking relationships, investments, real estate assets, and financial risk.Strategic LeadershipServe as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors.Help define and execute the organization's long-term strategic vision.Evaluate opportunities for growth, innovation, and operational improvement.Lead financial strategy that supports mission impact and organizational sustainability.Participate in Board meetings and provide clear, insightful financial guidance.Operational ExcellenceDrive organization-wide budgeting and revenue cycle management processes.Support quality improvement and risk management initiatives.Champion data-driven decision making through meaningful financial analytics.Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and organizational performance.Lead process improvement initiatives that strengthen systems and workflows.People LeadershipBuild, mentor, and develop a talented finance team.Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Lead cross-functional initiatives and successfully manage complex projects.Partner with leaders across the organization to align financial strategy with operational goals.What Makes You SuccessfulYou are a strategic thinker who sees beyond only numbers and understands the intersection between mission, business, service and people.You bring:Executive presence and strong leadership capabilitiesA collaborative, solutions-oriented mindsetExceptional business and financial acumenThe ability to translate complex financial information into actionable recommendationsStrong relationship-building skills with executives, Board members, staff, donors, and external partnersA passion for continuous improvement and organizational excellenceHigh integrity, sound judgment, and a commitment to mission-driven leadershipA commitment to Intermountain's mission and teamQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in business administration or a related field8-10 years of progressively responsible financial and administrative leadership experienceAt least 5 years in an executive-level role overseeing finance, operations, performance management, quality assurance, or risk managementProven experience leading and developing teamsValid Montana driver's license or ability to obtain onePreferredMaster's degree in applicable fieldNonprofit, healthcare, or human services leadership experienceKnowledge of Montana regulatory and compliance requirementsExperience with LEAN, Balanced Scorecard, or other performance improvement methodologiesDemonstrated success leading organizational change and cross-functional initiativesWill consider equivalent combinations of experience and educationWhy Intermountain?When you join Intermountain, you're joining a mission-driven organization that changes lives of children and families.
