Assistant High School Principal The Assistant High School Principal assists the Principal in the overall administration and operation of the high school. This position supports instructional leadership, student discipline, staff supervision, school safety, and the implementation of educational programs. The Assistant Principal assumes responsibility for school operations in the Principal's absence. Essential Functions: Leadership and School Administration Student Management and Supervision Staff Supervision and Instructional Support School Safety and Compliance Communication and Community Relations Professional Responsibilities Qualifications: Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field. Minimum of five (5) years of successful educational experience. Valid Ohio Administrator License or appropriate Ohio administrative certification. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of Ohio school law, educational regulations, and best practices. Ability to lead, motivate, and support staff and students. Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills. Effective decision-making and conflict-resolution abilities. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Equipment Used: Computer and related software applications Telephone and communication systems Printers, copiers, and office equipment School safety and alarm systems Motor vehicle Various instructional and educational technologies Working Conditions: Frequent evening and weekend responsibilities, with occasional summer work. Frequent travel between district buildings and occasional local or overnight travel. Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials. Occasional interaction with disruptive or unruly students. Occasional operation of a motor vehicle in adverse weather conditions. Frequent use of computers and repetitive hand movements.
