Before and After School Teacher

Your Mission

As a Before and After School Teacher fat Stewartstown Elementary, you'll create a safe, high-energy space where kids can learn, play, and thrive before the bell and after dismissal. This part-time role exists to deliver consistent care, engaging routines, and strong connections with families-every single day.

Key responsibilities include:
- Plan and implement curriculum and purposeful activities; prep lessons in advance
- Supervise children and maintain a positive, structured environment using effective behavior guidance
- Conduct observations/evaluations and maintain required program records
- Communicate clearly with parents, including conferences and ongoing engagement
- Follow safety/emergency procedures and infection control; report concerns per PA CPSL

Required qualifications/skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's in ECE/Child Development/Human Services; 1-3 years with children
- Mandated Reporter certification; Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED
- PA Teaching Certification (for PreK Counts)

Pay: $15-$20/hr. Schedule: Mon-Fri, 6:30-9:00 AM & 3:00-6:00 PM. Apply now to bring your spark to our program.

Your Daily Rhythm

Your day kicks off with bright, early arrivals-greetings at the door, quick check-ins with families, and a smooth transition into the morning flow. You'll keep the pace upbeat with hands-on moments that help kids settle in, connect with friends, and start school feeling confident.

In the afternoon, the energy surges again as kids return ready to move, create, and unwind. You'll close out the day with steady routines, clear communication at pickup, and a space that's reset and ready for the next round-so every child leaves feeling seen, supported, and excited to come back.

1. Obtain a State Police, Child Abuse, NSOR and FBI certifications in addition to a negative Mantoux TB test and a physical.
