Job Description
- Prepare and clean exam rooms before and after every patient visit.
- Sterilize and arrange dental tools and equipment.
- Assist dentists chairside by passing instruments and using suction.
- Take and process dental X-rays.
- Take tooth impressions and make temporary crowns.
- Help patients feel comfortable and explain post-treatment care
- Interpersonal skills: Friendly and comforting attitude to ease patient anxiety.
- Attention to detail: Careful adherence to safety and hygiene protocols.
- Technical ability: Skill in handling dental tools and operating software.
- Education: High school diploma plus completion of an accredited dental assistant program or on-the-job training.
- Certification: State-specific x-ray or dental assisting credentials via the Dental Assisting National Board as required by local laws
