RN - Oncology

Registered Nurse - Classical Hematology Clinic

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a classical hematology clinic. This clinic specializes in benign hematology, focusing on bleeding disorders, hemophilia, anemias, sickle cell disease, and DVTs. The clinic does not handle malignant hematology or oncology patients.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments and triage.
• Perform phlebotomy and central line care.
• Assist with bone marrow biopsies.
• Facilitate the scheduling of patients for infusions.
• Provide patient education and support via phone and in-person.
• Manage case documentation and patient care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must have a valid RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a hematology or oncology setting.
• Phlebotomy skills are required.
• BCLS certification is mandatory; additional certifications such as ONS, BMTCN, or OCN are preferred.
