SUMMARY


Responsible for ensuring that incoming materials are received, properly stored, and issued to end-users. Assures that Sales Orders and Stock Transfers are filled and shipped according to Standard Operating Procedures.

Duties

1. Receives materials from Manufacturing and Receiving; issues materials from Stores to Manufacturing; and makes internal deliveries.

1. Stages materials for Sales Orders and Stock Transfers; packages for shipment and boxes per SOP's or customer instructions.

1. Works closely with the other departments to ensure timely and accurate shipment of materials to our customers.

1. Cycle counts active and non-nettable inventory as directed by Materials management. Ensures that inventory and cycle-counts are accurate.

70% inside, open warehouse environment, and 30% outside-yard environment; where temperatures during the year range from very cold (20s) in the winter, to very hot (110+) in the summer Frequently lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance. Must wear safety glasses and hearing protection where required, and face shield while building crates and while using packaging foam equipment.


Tasks require walking, sitting, bending, reaching, mobility, frequent lifting and pushing/pulling. Work requires computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, and data-entry), attention to detail and accuracy. Communication skills including listening and speaking are required for interaction with other employees, vendors, and customers. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to balance multiple tasks and any stress associated with the duties and responsibilities of this position are essential requirements in the performance of this job.


Secondary duties with added requirements may be assigned from time to time.

General Qualifications

1. Accurately input and extract data/information using basic computer/system skills.

1. Good math skills, in order to precisely measure, weigh and count materials to ensure accurate inventory. Maybe required to use handheld calculator.

1. Ability to read Sales Orders, Stock Transfers, and Job Packets to pull required materials from stores.

1. Able to work overtime and six days per week when required.

Education and/or Experience


Any combination of education, training and experience equivalent to graduation from High School, or that would provide required knowledge, skill and ability to successfully perform the assigned job duties.


Language Skills


Good verbal and written communication skills.


Mathematical Skills


Basic mathematics skills.


Reasoning Ability


Able to work in a fast-paced shop, with quickly changing work priorities, and with minimal interaction to complete assignments on time.

Targeted Compensation: The targeted compensation range for this position is $20.00 per hour, depending on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.
