Travel Physical Therapist - $2,771 per week

Job Description Fusion Medical Staffing-Therapy is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Torrance, California. Qualified candidates will provide physical therapy services, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Requirements Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Experience in physical therapy; new graduates welcome. Other certifications or licenses may be required. Summary The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. The role includes creating personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans, operating specialized equipment, documenting progress, and educating patients and caregivers. Essential Work Functions Evaluate patients’ conditions using standardized tests and clinical examinations. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings. Implement treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate and maintain specialized physical therapy equipment safely. Assess progress, adjust plans, and document evaluations in the medical record. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other professionals. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, and injury prevention. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and regulatory standards. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development. Participate in discharge planning and coordinate transitions. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication. Proficient written and oral English communication. Ability to read and follow instructions; proficiency with PCs. Physical abilities: able to stand, move, lift 50‑100 lbs, push, pull, bend. Interpersonal skills: work effectively with diverse personnel. Technical/motor skills: fine manipulation, assist with procedures, use equipment. Mental requirements: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work with or without supervision, handle irregular schedules, maintain concentration.
