Job Title: Construction Laborer – Scaffolding

Job Description

This role is an on-site construction labor position supporting scaffolding operations for a large data center project in Leesburg, VA. You will help set up, maintain, and break down job sites, assist scaffold builders and erectors, and perform general labor and site cleanup to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up job sites in accordance with project plans and safety requirements.
• Move and carry scaffolding materials and components around the job site.
• Assist scaffold builders, erectors, and the foreman in building and dismantling scaffolding systems.
• Support hoist operators by spotting loads and assisting with safe material handling.
• Perform general site cleanup, including picking up trash, sweeping, and other cleaning duties as assigned.
• Break down and demobilize the job site at the end of project phases or as directed.
• Follow all safety procedures and use tools and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
• Work collaboratively with other trades and laborers to keep the project on schedule.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2+ years of construction experience in one or more of the following areas: scaffolding, carpentry, concrete, masonry, or general construction labor.
• Hands-on experience working on active construction sites, including outdoor environments.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move scaffolding materials and other construction components throughout the workday.
• Capacity to follow directions from scaffold builders, erectors, and foreman and work as part of a team.
• Strong awareness of job site safety practices and willingness to comply with all safety guidelines.
• Reliability in attendance and the ability to work 10-hour shifts, four days per week.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Any additional construction labor experience with consistent job tenure is highly valued.
• Experience supporting scaffolding operations or interest in learning the scaffolding trade.
• Experience in carpentry, concrete, masonry, or general labor on large commercial or industrial projects.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing job site needs.

Work Environment

The position is based at a large data center construction site in Leesburg, VA. The standard schedule consists of four 10-hour workdays, Monday through Thursday, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Work takes place primarily outdoors, and you must be prepared to work in hot summer conditions and varying weather. The environment is an active construction site with heavy equipment, scaffolding systems, and multiple trades working simultaneously, requiring consistent attention to safety procedures and appropriate work attire suitable for outdoor construction work.

This is a Contract position based out of Washington, D.C..

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Washington,D.C..
