Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Operations: Lead monthly/year-end close processes, manage GL, AP/AR, payroll, and billing, and maintain balance sheet integrity.

Government Contracting: Manage job cost accounting across various contract types (T&M, FPIF, FFP). Ensure compliance with FAR Part 31 and CAS .

Compliance & Audit: Support DCAA/DCMA audit requests, prepare incurred cost submissions, and coordinate tax reporting packages.

Systems & Process: Support ERP system administration (e.g., Deltek Costpoint/Unanet), improve accounting workflows, and ensure internal control integrity.
Required Qualifications:
-
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
-
Experience: 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience, specifically within the government contracting/defense industry .

Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of general ledger, job cost accounting, indirect rate structures, and FAR cost allowability principles.

System Proficiency: Strong Excel skills and experience with GovCon ERP systems (Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, or similar).

Revenue Background: Experience working in a government contractor environment with $30M+ in annual revenue.
