Role Overview You’ll develop skills in: Understanding federal, state and local employment laws Using basic Microsoft Office Suite computer and workforce management programs Effectively using scheduling software Responsibilities As a Human Resources Expert, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities: Create an easy, inspiring, friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments. Greet guests warmly; smile, make eye contact, or wave. Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience. End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you. Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude. Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience. Work with your HR leader to anticipate and address specific talent and staffing needs for each area of the business; this includes understanding guests’ needs and ensuring the right mix of experience and skills to deliver on in‑store and digital shopping experiences. Lead focused recruiting efforts to help store leaders find and hire candidates. Support team‑member and leader training needs and advocate for continuous learning. Act as an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices. Be approachable and available by listening to team members and collaborating with appropriate leaders to take action as needed. Deliver on all HR processes and programs to maximize team‑member engagement and minimize business disruption. Support your leader in following company compliance policies that mitigate risk to the team‑member experience. Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance. Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible. Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed. Effective communication skills. Can work independently and with a team. Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot. Attention to detail and follow multi‑step processes. Remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes. Physical and Work Conditions Accurately handle cash register operations as needed. Frequent lifting or moving merchandise up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds. Perform duties in varying temperatures, humidity and other environmental elements, including Drive‑Up and carryout. Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift. Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); attend scheduled shifts and take required meal and rest breaks.
