Job Title: Free Standing ER RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Department License: South Carolina or Compact State RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC Must-Have: General Emergency Experience (adult/peds) Epic Experience Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Description: This position is for a Free Standing ER RN. The shift schedule is 3x12s from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Floating to other facilities may be required as needed. All candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Department. First-time travelers will be accepted but must have 2+ years of experience. Certifications required include BLS, ACLS (AHA accepted only), NIHSS, and TNCC. Preferred certifications include CPI and NRP. Accommodation requests for block scheduling require manager approval. All requested time off must be included at the time of application. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, staff may be assigned to emergency response teams. Hurricane season runs from June through November, with peak activity in August and September. The facility is allowed to call off one shift every two weeks. This role involves caring for diverse patient populations, including neonates, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Regular patient diagnoses include stroke, head injuries, diabetes, chest pain, and respiratory distress. The facility comprises 14 beds and is equipped with dedicated laboratory and medical imaging services. A security team and on-site ambulance services are available 24/7.
