While we offer a close-knit, collaborative local clinic environment, we are backed by the immense infrastructure, stability, and premium resource network of Allergy Partners—the nation’s largest and most trusted allergy and immunology care network.RequirementsTwo years of clinical experience preferred (in any specialty) but open to new graduatesUrgent care or emergency department experience desired (experience treating anaphylaxis)NP degree (or expected within six months of application)Current licensureLicensed to see both children and adultsActive, unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Virginia.Valid DEA registration and prescriptive authority.Prior clinical experience in Allergy/Immunology, Asthma, or ENT is a plus, but we are fully equipped to provide specialized training to an experienced family or internal medicine NP.Comfortable practicing independently on site under a collaborative practice agreement (NPs meeting Virginia’s 3-year autonomous practice/Tier 2 framework are highly encouraged to apply).Job DutiesYou will see established patients only for routine follow-ups, asthma maintenance, and immunotherapy monitoring. All complex new patient consults and biologics are managed directly by the physician. Would like to work with HR to add this into our job ad.Exercises professional judgment regarding consultation with supervising physicians concerning appropriate treatment.Develops and implements patient care plans, instructs and counsels patients, and records progress. Consults with physicians as needed.Prescribes medications, treatments and immunotherapy in accordance with physician protocols and state regulationsPerforms patient education dutiesEnsures emergency situations are scheduled appropriately; maintains timely flow of patientsCompletes all assigned AP training (such as CPR, OSHA, HIPAA, Compliance, Information Security, others) within designated timeframes.Complies with Allergy Partners and respective hub/department policies and reports incidents of policy violationsAbout Allergy PartnersLed by its providers, Allergy Partners sets national standards for clinical best practices for patients and professional fulfillment for its team.
