We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. Job Summary As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) , you will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide skilled occupational therapy services to our residents. You will play an important role in helping residents improve their independence, safety, and ability to participate in daily activities. Responsibilities Provide skilled occupational therapy treatment under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist Carry out individualized treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist Provide therapeutic interventions addressing activities of daily living (ADLs), strengthening, range of motion, balance, coordination, functional mobility, cognition, and safety Assist residents with improving independence in dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and other daily activities Monitor resident response to treatment and communicate changes in condition or functional status to the supervising Occupational Therapist Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation, and other members of the interdisciplinary team Provide resident, family, and caregiver education as appropriate Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility, state, federal, and professional requirements Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory and professional standards Requirements Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Current and active California Occupational Therapy Assistant license Must be eligible to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in California Current CPR/BLS certification, as required Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team Skilled nursing or post-acute care experience preferred, but not required New graduates with an active California license are welcome to apply What We Offer Competitive compensation Supportive and collaborative rehabilitation team Diverse post-acute and long-term care patient population Opportunities for professional growth and development A rewarding environment focused on helping residents achieve their highest level of independence #J-18808-Ljbffr Santa Clarita Pa
