Test TechnicianWe are looking for a Test Technician to join our Cincinnati, Ohio team at Curtiss-Wright Nuclear Division, QualTech NP.Test Technicians perform a wide variety of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic testing for components and systems used in the nuclear power industry. As a highly regulated industry, our work requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, accuracy, and compliance with established procedures and industry standards.As a Test Technician, you will play an important role in supporting project schedules and customer deliverables. You will be responsible for setting up and conducting tests, collecting and documenting test data, identifying test anomalies, and working closely with Engineering, Project Management, and Quality Assurance to successfully complete projects.Location: Cincinnati, OH (onsite)Salary Information: $25.00 - $30.00 per hourPlease note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only. Criteria such as the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.We take care of our people!Paid Time Off I 401K with Employer Match and Profit Sharing I Health and Wellness Benefits I Learning and Development Opportunities I Referral Program I Competitive Pay I Recognition I Employee Stock Purchase Plan I Inclusive & Supportive Culture *Your Challenge:Utilize test procedures, drawings, specifications, and other written instructions to perform testing in accordance with established requirementsSelect and properly use Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) appropriate for each testBuild and configure electrical and electro-mechanical test setups and circuitsPerform testing of a wide variety of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components and systemsCollect, record, and document test data accurately on applicable data sheets and test documentationEvaluate test results to determine component or system operability and compliance with test requirementsIdentify, document, and report failures, discrepancies, and test anomaliesWork closely with Engineering and Project Management in the development and improvement of test proceduresCollaborate with Engineering, Project Management, and Quality Assurance to investigate and resolve quality and testing issues.Develop wiring diagrams, circuit layouts, and sketches for test setups as requiredInitiate and participate in continuous improvement activities that improve safety, quality, efficiency, and productivityMaintain effective communication with project team members to ensure requirements, expectations, and customer commitments are metWork collaboratively with team members to achieve project objectives related to safety, quality, schedule, and customer satisfactionPerform all work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable industry requirementsWhat You Bring:High school diploma or equivalent requiredTechnical training equivalent to an Associate's degree in electronics, electrical technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered2–4 years of related electrical testing experience preferredSolid understanding of basic electrical principles and circuitryExperience using electrical and pneumatic Measurement and Test EquipmentAbility to measure and evaluate voltage, current, capacitance, inductance, impedance, and resistanceAbility to apply basic electrical principles and mathematics to calculate and construct resistive loadsExperience testing electrical components and equipment such as switch panels, transformers, solenoids, relays, and related control equipmentAbility to read, interpret, and develop basic wiring diagrams and test setup sketchesExperience constructing test circuits for both AC and DC applicationsStrong understanding of electro-mechanical components and systemsProficiency in basic mathematics and computer applications, with the ability to perform electrical calculations, analyze and interpret test data, enter and maintain accurate records, and use spreadsheets and other software to support testing activitiesStrong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to work effectively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities and project requirementsWho We AreOur ValuesEnvironmental, Social and GovernanceCurtiss-Wright Nuclear focuses on the provision of products and services to the commercial nuclear power industry and Department of Energy facilities.
