TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Savannah, Georgia, 31405!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience and successful completion of at least one travel contract. Experience in a hospital of similar size and acuity is necessary. Description: This position is for a Telemetry unit focusing on regional admissions. The nurse-patient ratios are 1:4 or 1:5. RNs are required to titrate drips, including limited titratable and set rate drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone. The charge nurse typically does not take a patient assignment during night shifts. There is a house supervisor available at night. Nurse aides are present in a ratio of 1:10. The unit is equipped with nasal cannulas, BiPap, and high flow nasal cannula, but not ventilators. Monitor techs are available to read strips, although RNs are expected to interpret rhythms. Self-scheduling is allowed, but shifts may be adjusted as needed for staffing. Expect weekend requirements every other weekend and holiday commitments unless approved time off is arranged. There is no call or standby requirement for this role. Floating to a neurosurgical PCU may be required, but this is rare and follows the same ratios. Navy scrubs are the designated dress code for the unit. The charting system used is MEDITECH.
