Salary $180,000 per year Description The Section of Palliative Medicine invites applications for a Johns Hopkins University physician position based at our Johns Hopkins Hospital location. We are seeking candidates who are board certified or board eligible in Hospice & Palliative Medicine for this full‑time role as an inpatient palliative medicine consulting physician. Academic rank is commensurate with level of experience. The Palliative Medicine Program has faculty from a wide range of departments and fields, including medicine, oncology, geriatrics, pulmonology and critical care, surgery, as well as interdisciplinary team members from nursing, social work, chaplaincy and pharmacy. The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills necessary to join our rapidly growing program. Applicants should demonstrate a strong potential for excellence in clinical care, house‑staff education, or quality improvement and research. Salary Range The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate’s geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training, and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University. This may include documentation of having two MMR vaccines; two varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre‑employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers.
