Must-Have: Must have a vehicle for this assignment. No first timers.

Description: The position will float between units as per unit needs. On-call is not required. Weekends are required every other weekend. Block schedules are not required. Expected ratios are 5:1 during days and evenings and 10:1 during nights. Must have charge experience. Charting experience is required. Charting system experience with any system is acceptable. Travel experience is required. Candidate must have experience with various pediatric and adolescent psychiatric disorders. Knowledge of physical hold protocols, medication administration, and seclusion procedures is essential. Candidates should be able to engage in psychoeducation with patients. Staffing ratios during the day consist of 4-5 patients per RN. During nights, there are 2 RNs for 20 beds. The unit serves pediatric and adolescent patients typically ranging in age from 6 to 17 years old. Patients are admitted for conditions including dysregulation, acute suicidal ideation, or attempts. Special transportation equipment such as a Humane Wrap and Hover Jack is utilized for patient safety. Adherence to floating between units and facilities may be necessary based on patient needs. Refusal to float may lead to termination of the assignment.
