Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 10-bed Medical Surgical unit with telemetry capability on all beds
• Monitor and manage patients at a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio on nights (ratio may vary based on acuity and pediatric patient assignments)
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary support team including telemetry techs, charge nurses, HUCs, and PCTs
• Float to other Medical Surgical units and the ICU to support Medical Surgical overflow patients as needed
• Adhere to unit protocols and participate in rounds conducted by nurse management

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (must meet state requirements)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical acute care setting
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification preferred
• Experience with telemetry monitoring in an acute care environment
• Comfort with floating across multiple Medical Surgical units and ICU overflow assignments
