Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist is responsible to perform daily payroll operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and document all payroll records
• Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
• Reconcile and validate payroll prior to transmission
• Understand proper taxation of salaries, benefits and other factors
• Process and monitor garnishment orders and other deductions that impact payroll specifications
• Execute time and attendance processing and interface with payroll
• Detect and process issues related to uncollected payroll checks
• Assist with year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc)
• Process manual checks
• Review data/files received from HR
• Research and email appropriate audience of file issues
• Address employee's payroll and timekeeping inquiries and concerns

Qualifications

• Associates Degree with and additional of 3 years' experience and/or
• BS/BA in business, accounting or relevant experience and 2 years' experience
• Must have experience with processing of payroll
• Must have experience with timekeeping
• Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel
• Working knowledge of Net-suite, Kronos or ADP payroll system or equivalent payroll & timekeeping software

$24.00-$27.00 an hour
