Dental Assistant

Location: Jamaica, NY
Duration: 14 weeks
Schedule: Day Shift | 5×7 hours | 35 hours/week
Pay Rate: $28–$33/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Dental Assistant to provide chairside and clinical support to dental professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting with dental procedures, radiographs, sterilization, dental laboratory procedures, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists with chairside procedures and patient care.
• Prepare and organize dental instruments, equipment, and treatment areas.
• Take, develop, and mount dental radiographs.
• Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments using an autoclave.
• Assist with routine dental procedures and clinical activities.
• Perform dental laboratory procedures as required.
• Maintain accurate and complete dental records.
• Prepare patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients and members of the dental team.
• Perform other duties related to dental clinical support as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Qualifying Dental Assistant education and/or relevant experience.
• Experience taking, developing, and mounting dental radiographs.
• Previous experience assisting dentists chairside.
• Experience sterilizing dental instruments using an autoclave.
• Experience performing dental laboratory procedures.
• Experience maintaining dental records.
• BLS certification from AHA required.
• Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.
• Strong communication, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.

Compliance Requirements

• Must successfully complete all required pre-employment screening and compliance requirements before beginning the assignment.
