Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: 1st Shift Position Available - Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking candidates for an Environmental Services Manager position at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center located in Jamaica, Queens - the Richmond Hill neighborhood. The Environmental Services (EVS) Manager is responsible for developing and executing facility solutions to ensure all health and safety standards are met, such as managing overall cleanliness, patient room cleaning, bed turnaround times, waste removal and floor care . Responsible for servicing and/or maintaining a physical location or site to client specifications. Leads the operations of facility accounts by ensuring areas of responsibility meet objectives and client expectations. Compensation Data COMPENSATION: The salary rate for this position is $70,000.00 to $75,000.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. Job Responsibilities Manages the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services Department (Housekeeping) Distributes supplies, holds shift huddles, scheduling and training. Monitors performance. Manages floor care, trash removal and biohazardous waste removal, overall cleanliness of the building, and patient room cleaning. Conducts rounding with patients, service recovery, quality audits and inspections. Communicates and builds relationships with other department leaders Plans, controls and directs all cleaning, sanitizing and waste removal functions within a healthcare facility to meet operating and financial goals, client objectives and customer needs At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Healthcare Environmental Services Management experience preferred Requires 5 years in a Healthcare supervisory role or 2+ years in a management role Floor care experience required; including knowledge of the equipment and chemicals used. Experience managing janitorial, custodial or housekeeping operations will be considered.
