Activities Assistant

Shift Type: Part-time, 9am-5:30pm Sycamore Heights Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a part-time Activities Assistant! Are you passionate about enhancing the lives of others? We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activity Assistant to join our team full-time. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with individuals and is committed to promoting wellness and joy in our community. Key Responsibilities Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing engaging activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and physical well-being for residents. Support residents in participating in various activities, ensuring their comfort and enjoyment. Collaborate with the activity coordinator to develop innovative programs tailored to the interests and abilities of residents. Maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere during activities and encourage participation from all residents. Assist with the setup and cleanup of activity spaces and ensure all materials are in order. Build meaningful relationships with residents, creating a welcoming and supportive environment. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in a similar role is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A genuine passion for working with individuals, particularly in a care or community setting. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Flexible, creative, and adaptable to the changing needs of residents.
