Operations Shift SupervisorAs the Operations Shift Supervisor you will have the authority and responsibility to make decisions, as necessary, to ensure safe operations. You will be responsible for accumulation and dissemination of information regarding plant activities to the Incident Commander during emergencies. You will also be responsible for directing the operation of systems, components and personnel within the facilities necessary to support enrichment operation. You will authorize the restart of equipment that has been shut down in a routine fashion when the prerequisites and limitations of the associated operating procedure are met. You will be responsible for providing operational support of centrifuge machine assembly, transport, installation, pump down, integrated system testing, start-up, operation and select repair.Assigns, schedules, and instructs personnel in equipment monitoring, data collection, and supporting systems in accordance with approved proceduresMonitors work of assigned areas for compliance with procedures and directs operations using approved procedures or test plans under normal, off-normal and emergency response conditionsEnsures all activities are clearly documented and maintains a narrative log of shift activities and operational evolutionsIssues work permits as requiredEnsures qualified personnel are available to complete assigned workPerforms integrated system testing and execution of test plans and coordinates work activities with other groups (service and construction)Instructs employees in the operating and test procedures, safety, environmental, Quality Assurance, and security-related matters.Accountable for materials, parts and supplies under their jurisdictionPerforms Change Evaluations and reviews as neededResponsible for safe and efficient work area and work practicesPerforms routine walk-through inspections of assigned areas and documents and provides resolution for identified deficienciesDirects operation of American Centrifuge Plant computerized instrumentation and control systemsAssists in the development and validation of test plans, procedures and training materialDevelops, reviews, and validates administrative, procedural, and technical documents. i.e. schematics, operating procedures, process control narratives, statement of work, system requirement documents, failure mode evaluation analysis, technical manual review, design criteriaEnsures the workforce includes and is conducive to the participation of individuals with diverse ethnic backgrounds, both genders, including those with and without disabilitiesEnforces and adheres to company policies, procedures, code of conduct, security and environmental and safety program requirementsWe'd Love to Hear from Candidates With:Associate degree in Manufacturing/Chemical/Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experienceFive (5) years of industrial/chemical/nuclear plant operations, maintenance, engineering, or support experiencePrevious supervisory/leadership experience or completion of a supervisory training courseMust possess or be able to obtain and maintain a "Q" level security clearanceA Successful Candidate Brings:Currently possess a "Q" level security clearanceBachelor's Degree in Manufacturing/Chemical/Engineering or related fieldPay: Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $67,564 -$135,128. This position is Bonus eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
