Product Design Engineer

Bridging the gap between Industrial Design and Mechanical Engineering, the remote Product Design Engineer will manage the physical architecture of autonomous vehicles, ensuring design intent and engineering execution align while collaborating with cross-functional teams to create high-quality, manufacturable products. Key responsibilities: Champion design by integrating mechanical engineering principles with creative problem-solving to guide the team through complex trade-offs Own the physical vehicle architecture by managing micro-tolerance loops and high-density component integration within stylized enclosures Lead the development of advanced CAD models and rapid prototyping efforts to validate design choices in real-time Required qualifications: 5-10+ years of experience as a Product Design Engineer, Studio Engineer, or Mechanical Engineer in relevant industries Strong portfolio showcasing experience in complex physical architecture and high-volume production Exceptional proficiency in advanced 3D surfacing and master-modeling using tools like Siemens NX, Creo, or SolidWorks Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, including GD&T and mass-production techniques Ability to collaborate effectively with both creative and technical teams in a fast-paced environment
