Registered Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week contract assignment in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have ICU and ventilator management experience and be skilled in providing respiratory care, patient assessment, ventilator support, and emergency respiratory interventions. This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care across ICU and intermediate care settings.

Schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | 3x12-Hour Shifts

Pay: $55-60/hr

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week contract assignment in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have recent ICU experience, strong ventilator management skills, and the ability to provide high-quality respiratory care in a fast-paced acute care environment. This role involves working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and diagnostic procedures under physician direction.
• Perform respiratory assessments and develop appropriate care plans based on patient needs.
• Assist with intubations and provide ventilator setup, monitoring, and management.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to respiratory treatments and adjust care accordingly.
• Provide patient and caregiver education regarding respiratory conditions, treatments, and equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment outcomes.
• Respond effectively to respiratory emergencies and critical care situations.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Float as needed to Adult ICU, Intermediate Care, and Basic Intermediate Care units.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Active New Jersey Respiratory Care License (required at submission).
• Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• Minimum 1 year of recent Respiratory Therapist experience.
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience.
• Previous ventilator management experience required.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current PALS certification.
