Clinical Specialist, Cranial & Spinal Technologies - Charlottesville, VA

Medtronic seeks a Clinical Specialist for Cranial & Spinal Technologies in Charlottesville, Virginia. This field-based role provides technical and clinical support for neurosurgery and robotic-assisted surgery products, including on-site installations, system maintenance, physician training, and customer liaison responsibilities across a regional territory.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site installations and provide technical assistance during technology-enabled surgical procedures
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade system hardware and software; perform preventative maintenance
• Educate and train physicians, surgeons, and hospital personnel on technical and clinical procedures
• Serve as primary customer liaison for repair, technical support, and service delivery across assigned accounts
• Document installations, file weekly reports, escalate customer concerns, and identify market opportunities for new users

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with 6+ years clinical, medical sales, or medical imaging/navigation/robotics experience
• Associate's degree with 4+ years clinical, medical sales, or medical imaging/navigation/robotics experience (alternative pathway)
• Valid driver's license and willingness to reside within territory and travel
• Technical proficiency with UNIX/Linux commands and system software
• Strong clinical knowledge of neurosurgery, navigation, and robotic-assisted procedures
• Customer relationship management and training capability across multiple hospital departments
