Warehouse Specialist

Warehouse Specialist Location: Newport News, Virginia (Joint Base Langley-Eustis). Type: Non-Exempt. Work Schedule: Full-time, Day shift. Compensation: $22.38/hr. Moves inventory between locations within warehouse. Ensures all equipment is stored and stacked safely. Performs daily maintenance on all forklifts and vehicles. Operates vehicle in support of IPBO functions and in accordance with regulations. Issues and receives turn-ins of ceremonial flags. Receives turn-ins from supported customers. Issues equipment to support customers. Processes turn-in to Supply Support Activity (SSA). Locates items within the IPBO warehouse. Relocates and removes materials without damage and safely. Loads and unloads trucks using forklift or pallet jack. Transports materials per work order in a timely manner. Qualifications Working knowledge of a Central Issue Facility preferred. Basic working knowledge of storage requirements (TM 743-200 Series). Physical capability to transport, store, issue, and receipting for materials. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Physical Requirements Must lift and/or move up to 70 pounds; able to reach, kneel, walk, stand, use repetitive motion for extended periods. Standing or sitting for several hours, climbing in/out of vehicle, stairs. Must persevere under pressure for extended periods. Driver’s License & Clearance Valid state driver’s license required; must obtain/maintain coverage by Tessera’s carrier. Must obtain/maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. Background check and E-Verify will be conducted. Real ID‑compliant license (or U.S. passport/military ID) required for access to federal military installation.
