Sr. Manager, New Product Introduction (NPI)
Location: Reno, Nevada
Company Overview:
Amperesand is disrupting industrial power with the first commercialized Solid State Transformer
systems. Solid State Transformers systems are much more than a transformer replacement, enabling
numerous advanced features to unlock solutions for data centers, EV charging, renewables, microgrids,
and industrial installations. We are looking for mission driven team members passionate about making
amazing products for worldwide electrification at maximum acceleration. Amperesand is building a
global company and looking for talent across our geographies.
Responsibilities:
• Build and manage the NPI tech team to support engineering and manufacturing development
• Manage the product lifecycles and drive product development / build phases from concept to
production ramp
• Manage cross functional teams including engineering, product development, supply chain,
manufacturing, among others to collaborate and drive successful product development milestones.
• Drive the successful implementation of manufacturing programs by controlling the budget / cost,
while ensuring that all program timelines, scope and quality commitments are delivered.
• Effectively and regularly communicate the program status to executives, partners and cross
functional stakeholders to provide transparency and facilitates program implementation.
• Drive material readiness and inventory management with the supply chain and PM teams.
• Ensure material availability for all build cycles while also controlling quality and inventory levels to
monitor production and program material risks.
• Provide direction to NPI project engineers, NPI technicians and cross functional stakeholders to align
priorities, requirements, risks, and program schedule.
• Monitor and drive cost reduction efforts across the program by collaborating with various teams
including supply chain and engineering. In doing this ensure that product cost and inventory are
managed appropriately.
• Support in the development and execution of NPI and program management related processes to
facilitate efficient program execution.
• Identify and highlight program risks by defining mitigation plans, sharing trade-offs and ensuring
appropriate measures are taken to minimize any program impact.
Qualifications:
• Technical degree or equivalent experience in electrical power products
• 12+ years' experience in a mix of program management and engineering fields with evidence showing
an exceptional ability to manage multiple complex projects / programs simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to work and lead cross functionally by managing large teams / projects.
• Exceptionally strong communication skills that demonstrate an ability to communicate visually
verbally and in writing to both technical and non-technical team members
• Experience working in an engineering organization focused on electrical systems, power electronics,
or other similar products in a manufacturing / production environment.
• Ability to work well under pressure while simultaneously managing competing priorities, challenges
and risks. Effective response to adapt to these competing priorities, risks, and program changes as
needed and quickly.
• Excellent written and verbal communications in English with all stakeholders
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% including international.

Reno Pay Range

$170,000—$200,000 USD

Compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
