Assistant Manager

Overview This DEPARTMENT MANAGER position is for a restaurant owned and operated by The Koury Family of McDonald’s Restaurants, an independent franchisee separate from McDonald’s USA. The role will report directly to the franchisee and is responsible for managing shift leadership, training, food safety, inventory, and other business operations as outlined below. Responsibilities Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, safe, and friendly experience. Manage assigned systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management. Set goals, delegate tasks to teams, follow up, and report results to the team and other managers. Guest Service Department Manager: oversee crew and managers to deliver a great customer experience, implement sales promotions, train staff in service procedures, and maintain organized Front Counter, McCafé, and Drive-Thru areas. Kitchen Department Manager: ensure the restaurant delivers high-quality food within service times, controls food cost, trains kitchen staff in production procedures and new menu items. People Department Manager: hire qualified crew, train them to McDonald’s standards, schedule them to meet sales and profit goals, conduct a "Best First Week" orientation, and recognize and motivate staff throughout their tenure. Qualifications Previous McDonald’s Management experience required. Preferred but not required training in Leadership Transitions (LT), Food Safety, and OTP; training will be provided if not completed. Positive team player with flexible schedule and passion for a fast-paced environment. Must be 18 years or older.
