Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a travel job in Chicago, Illinois.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: MRI Technologist\n Discipline: Allied Health Professional\n Start Date: 10/05/2026\n Duration: 12 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 5, 2026\n Length: 12 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift MRI Technologist with Siemens equipment experience and ARRT (MR) certification for a community hospital setting.Details\n \n MRI Technologist role within a hospital MRI unit\n Adult ICU, adult outpatient, and ER/Trauma work settings\n Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM\n Every other Saturday and Sunday required\n 60-minute meal break\n Patient ratio of approximately 1:1.5\n Uses Siemens MRI equipment\n Epic charting system experience required\n Rare potential to float between facilities within the health system if requested\n Requirements\n \n Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program with diploma or certificate of completion\n ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, or certification eligible\n BLS certification through AHA required\n Minimum of 1 year of direct MRI experience\n Illinois license required if applicable, must be in hand at time of consideration (no emergency or pending licenses accepted)\n Community hospital experience required\n Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred\n BSN required\n Skills checklist and 2 professional references required for consideration, with one from a Supervisor, Manager, or Charge RN within the last year\n Experience with contrast media preparation/administration and starting peripheral IVs preferred\n Proficiency in abdominal, pelvic, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular MRI procedures\n Additional Information\n \n Perform a wide range of MRI procedures including MRA, MRV, MRCP, cardiac MRI, and musculoskeletal imaging\n Utilize special imaging techniques such as diffusion studies, MIP, multiplanar reconstruction, and perfusion imaging\n Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols during patient care\n All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration and cannot be added afterward\n Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate\n Employment history must include Northwestern Medicine and any acquired facilities, if applicable\n Non-licensed direct patient caregivers not listed as eligible in the IL Healthcare Worker Registry may need to complete in-person fingerprinting in Illinois prior to starting\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-762054.
