Job Summary The Radiological Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that require rational independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in performing standard examinations in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. What You Will Do in This Role Demonstrate competency in radiation exposure and monitoring. Demonstrate competency in ALAR and dose equivalent limits. Demonstrate competency and knowledge of radiation physics. Demonstrate competency with critical behaviors and age‑specific care. Demonstrate competency with appropriate method of patient identifiers (two IDs). Demonstrate knowledge of proper radiation protection of patients and employees in accordance with ACR, NRC, and ARRT (time, distance, shielding). Demonstrate knowledge of automatic exposure control (AEC). Demonstrate knowledge of image processing and quality assurance. Demonstrate knowledge of criteria for image evaluation. Demonstrate knowledge of image distortion (magnification, OID, SID). What Qualifications You Will Need Must have graduated from an accredited school of Radiological Technology with an Associates degree or equivalent. BCLS required. Must be A.R.R.T. (RT).
