Senior Software Engineer - Infrastructure

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 5+ years of applied experience.
• We look for hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• We need advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
• We value demonstrated experience leading the effective use of enterprise-approved AI-assisted software development tools in the workplace, including coding, code review, test acceleration, and troubleshooting, with the ability to set expectations for validating AI output for correctness, performance, and security.
• We require a strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations, plus experience coaching senior engineers and leads on compliant usage patterns and controls.
• We expect the ability to resolve design and functionality issues independently with minimal supervision.
• We require practical cloud-native experience.
• Preferred: experience with infrastructure architecture, Kubernetes, CNI, CSI, CRI, and containers.
• Preferred: experience with AWS EKS and GCP GKE ecosystems.
• Preferred: knowledge of industry technology trends and best practices.
• Preferred: familiarity with multiple cloud platforms.
• Preferred: proficiency with database technologies such as Oracle, MS SQL, or Cockroach.

• We provide technical guidance and direction to support our business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• We drive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, including code review, refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, and incident or root-cause analysis.
• We apply knowledge of tools within the software development life cycle toolchain, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation at scale.
• We influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
• We serve as a subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.
• We contribute to the engineering community by advocating for firmwide software development life cycle frameworks, tools, and practices.
