Service Technician - Planet Ford - Humble

This is a full-time, entry-level position in the automotive service industry, based in Humble, TX. Responsibilities Testing systems and components to ensure proper operation and security. Diagnosing issues by isolating system or component failures. Driving vehicles for testing or using diagnostic equipment. Maintaining accuracy and efficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehicles. Replacing or repairing worn parts proactively. Following checklists to examine critical vehicle parts. Inspecting hoses, belts, plugs, brakes, and other components. Using power tools and machine tools for repairs. Performing other duties as assigned. Skills/Qualifications Ability to quickly identify vehicle problems. Good automotive knowledge and analytical skills. Effective communication skills. Proficiency in reading, computer use, and math. Willingness to learn new technology and procedures. Ability to operate diagnostic equipment. Job Requirements High school diploma or GED required; technical degree and ASE certifications preferred. Minimum 1 year in a service department. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Must pass pre-employment testing, including background checks and drug testing. Basic computer skills and a positive, customer-focused attitude.
