What They're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects. Experience in one or more of the following sectors is highly desirable:

• Concrete tilt-up construction
• Self-storage facilities
• Retail projects
• Restaurant projects

Candidates are not expected to have experience in every category. The hiring team understands that many successful superintendents have developed expertise across related project types. For example, self-storage experience often includes tilt-up construction, while retail experience frequently overlaps with restaurant work.


The key is having relevant commercial construction experience and a proven track record of leading projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day field operations from project start through completion
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and site logistics
• Maintain project schedules and drive milestone completion
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
• Lead project meetings and communicate effectively with project stakeholders
• Identify and resolve field issues proactively

Qualifications

• Superintendent experience on commercial construction projects
• Strong knowledge of scheduling, sequencing, and field operations
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain project momentum
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Experience with ground-up construction preferred
