Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and provide nursing care to patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit across assigned shifts
• Perform care planning, medication administration, and monitoring of physiological changes in neonates
• Assess and address psychosocial needs of neonates and provide education and training to patients and their families
• Supervise and delegate care responsibilities to ancillary personnel within their scope of practice
• Cross-train and float to the Pediatrics unit as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice
• Associate Degree (A.S.) in Nursing or equivalent
• Minimum two years of NICU experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification – AHA or ARC accepted
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or NALS certification – AHA or ARC accepted
• Epic and Cerner EMR experience within the last 5 years; each work history entry must indicate the charting system used with clarifying dates if multiple systems were used

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Previous neonatal transport experience
• Previous experience attending deliveries for neonatal resuscitation purposes
• RNC or CCRN certification
