Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in a hospital setting. The role involves providing competent clinical nursing care in a dynamic environment, with responsibilities including patient assessment, discharge planning, and adhering to standards of care. The designated shift is during the daytime hours.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate in Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited school of Nursing; licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC); 0 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of Nursing; certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), CHARGE, and Precepting.
• Additional Information: Candidates should be comfortable caring for both acute and step-down neurological patients in a high-paced environment. The unit is currently operating under a pilot program with a mixed patient population, and the role may involve charge or precepting duties nearly every shift. The assignment duration is from 10/12/2026 to 01/09/2027.
