Blue Dot Psychotherapy PLLC is a dedicated provider of mental health services, working in the personal injury/no-fault sector throughout New York City Metropolitan Area. We work as part of a team to support persons who have been injured in motor-vehicle, workplace and slip and fall accidents. This is a unique opportunity for those seeking experience in the mental health industry outside of performing therapy.

Role Description

This is a full-time job role for a Mental Health Counselor based in the New York City Metropolitan Area with some flexibility in scheduling, allowing some work to be performed remotely. A minimum of 10 work days must be in-person with the remaining of the time dedicated to working on reports from home. The Mental Health Counselor will conduct intake interviews to collect the information required to complete psychological evaluations. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate client records, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing crisis intervention support as needed. The counselor must be able to work independently and be okay with traveling with minimal challenges as they will be responsible for multiple clinics.

Qualifications

• Spanish is a must as most of our patients are Spanish-speaking.
• Master's degree in Counseling, LMHC, LCSW or immediately eligible for MHC-LP
• Experience in conducting intake interviews to complete psychological evaluations.
• Knowledge of the DSM-5 for diagnostic purposes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for diverse populations.
