Job Role CT Technologist Responsibilities Perform diagnostic CT scans following established protocols Position patients, explain procedures, and ensure safety and comfort Use radiation safety measures and protection devices Examine digital CT images for quality and properties Authorize patient release after examinations Maintain and clean examination rooms, stock supplies Conduct quality control and document medical requirements Assist in departmental tasks and participate in meetings or committees Engage in professional development through education programs Qualifications High school diploma or GED Completion of an approved imaging technology course Current ARRT certification and Board Certification in CT Preferred Skills Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR/AED certification Over one year of CT Technologist experience Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay ranges from $40.00 to $60.00, with comprehensive benefits, incentive programs, and retirement options.
