Position Overview

This position offers variable shifts, including both day and night shifts, typically consisting of 12-hour shifts with a total of 36 hours scheduled weekly after the first week of orientation. Scheduled on-call hours for 12-hour shifts are required at least once per month, but there is no guaranteed schedule or shift preference.

Job Responsibilities

• Care for laboring mothers throughout the delivery process.
• Assist with delivery and provide immediate care to newborns.
• Offer post-delivery care for mothers.

Equipment Utilized

• Computerized system - Meditech
• Fetal Monitoring System - GE/Centricity

Required Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 3 years of labor and delivery experience is required.

Certifications and Licensures

• Current Hawaii State License (to be obtained upon acceptance of the offer if not already in possession).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification - REQUIRED
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification - REQUIRED
• STABLE Certification - RECOMMENDED
• Advanced FM Certification - RECOMMENDED

Additional Information

Candidates must arrive by the Thursday before the start date to attend the employee health appointment on Friday. Please ensure availability to meet this timeline before accepting the offer.

Unit Information

• Labor & Delivery: 8 Labor Beds
• Postpartum: 18 Beds
