Electrical Procurement Manager (Senior Electrical Procurement Engineer)EPI Power is hiring an Electrical Procurement Manager (Senior Electrical Procurement Engineer). This Engineer is responsible for overseeing the purchasing of materials for the project site in Boydton, Virginia. This role orders materials and services, monitors delivery status, and facilitates communication between the project team and suppliers.This role requires the ability to work 6 days per week, Monday – Saturday (58 hours per week).EPI Power, LLC ("EPI") is a licensed electrical contractor and subsidiary of The Weitz Company that specializes in data centers. We believe our employees to be our most valuable asset, and we are committed to growing a diverse and inclusive culture that inspires, motivates, and continuously improves.What You'll Do:Review and prepare technical documentation, requests for quote (RFQ) packages, quote solicitations/evaluations and procurement of goods and services documentsInitiate and manage purchase orders, evaluate project schedule, and align delivery of materials accordinglyParticipate in the specification review, bid preparation, submittal review, and quote solicitation process to include developing supplier work statements, soliciting proposals, and negotiating costsCollaborate with logistics team members to ensure timely arrival of materialsTrack incorrect or late orders and expedite as neededResolve payment and/or material discrepancies; track and obtain refund if necessaryMonitor supplier performance and ensure contract obligations are met; identify new suppliers as neededIssue and maintain department reportsAssist with material inspection, factory testing, and coordination of meetingsMentor team members on engineering responsibilities including specification review, project scope, procurement requirements, and negotiation methodsWhat We're Looking For:Experience: 7+ years of experience in a procurement function in a construction related industryElectrical background is preferred.Skills: Understanding of material work planning and engineering methods in conjunction with purchasing requirementsExcellent negotiation skills for negotiating cost and contract termsHigh level of initiative and excellent judgementAbility to multitaskExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDesire to work in a collaborative, supportive, team environmentOrganized and detail-orientedTechnology: Proficient in basic computer software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OutlookAbility to learn specific job-related software upon hireWhat We Offer:Competitive PayComprehensive Benefits Package with Tax-Advantaged HSA and FSA offeringsEmployer-Paid Short- and Long-Term Disability ProgramsEmployer-Paid Life InsuranceGenerous Paid Time Off Provisions401K Retirement Savings Plan with Company MatchTuition ReimbursementFully Paid Parental LeaveVoluntary Products Including: Critical Illness Insurance and Accident InsuranceCorporate Wellness Program with Wellness Time Off and RewardsVisa sponsorship is not available for this position at this time.The Company does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firms or agencies.
