Facilities Maintenance Technician

Facilities Maintenance TechnicianThe Facilities Technician is responsible for performing routine building and property maintenance to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This position performs maintenance activities across multiple trades, including carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, painting, and general repairs. The Facilities Technician also supports cleaning, vendor coordination, equipment monitoring, and other facilities-related activities as assigned.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform patching, painting, and minor repairs to interior walls and work areas as assigned.Assist with maintaining and monitoring facility equipment, systems, and amenities.Perform minor plumbing repairs and routine maintenance as needed.Oversee and manage the site's regulated Pest Control Program in accordance with applicable procedures and requirements.Replace HVAC filters according to established schedules and requirements.Perform furniture moves, including office setups and employee relocations.Coordinate and manage facilities vendors and service providers.Replace interior and exterior light bulbs and related components as assigned.Set up and maintain offices, conference rooms, and common areas as needed.Inspect exterior property and support routine upkeep and maintenance.Provide facilities support for company meetings, events, and other activities as assigned.Oversee janitorial services, including daily trash removal, supply restocking, restroom cleaning, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning of exterior entryways.Respond to routine facilities service requests and assist with troubleshooting facility-related issues.Maintain facilities work areas, tools, and supplies in a safe and organized manner.Perform other work-related duties as assigned.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.Valid driver's license.Minimum of two years of building or facilities maintenance experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as a general working knowledge of internet-based business applications.Ability to perform basic maintenance and repair activities safely and effectively.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with HVAC equipment and systems.Carpentry and general repair skills.Experience working in a highly regulated environment.Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, or service providers.Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentAbility to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform maintenance activities for extended periods.Ability to work at a computer for extended periods as required.Ability to perform repetitive motions associated with maintenance and facilities activities.Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 pounds.May be exposed to extreme temperatures, elevated noise levels, fumes, chemicals, biohazardous materials, and other conditions associated with facility operations.Must follow applicable safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment when performing assigned duties.TrainingJob-specific, safety, and compliance training will be assigned based on the functions and responsibilities associated with the position.Other RequirementsMay be required to respond to facility-related emergencies outside of normal business hours.May participate in a periodically scheduled on-call rotation and respond to technical or facility emergencies as needed.May be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays based on operational needs.
