About the Role
We are seeking a cornea fellowship-trained ophthalmologist with expertise in cataract and advanced anterior segment surgery to join a medically focused, referral-driven ophthalmology practice. This role is designed for a surgeon who combines high-level technical skill with sound clinical judgment, and who functions as a trusted tertiary-level resource for optometrists, ophthalmologists, and referring physicians across the region.
The position emphasizes excellence in both routine and complex anterior segment care, with an expectation of leadership in corneal disease management, surgical decision-making, and collaborative care models.
What You'll Do
Clinical Scope
The surgeon will provide comprehensive corneal and anterior segment surgical care, including:
- Cataract surgery, including Premium IOL’s as well as complex and high-risk cases
- Penetrating keratoplasty (PKP)
- Endothelial keratoplasty, including DSAEK and DMEK
- Corneal cross-linking for ecstatic disease
- Surgical and medical management of complex corneal pathology, including dystrophies, scars, endothelial disease, and inflammatory conditions
- Collaborative pre-operative and post-operative management, working closely with medically focused optometrists and ophthalmology colleagues
The role prioritizes appropriate case selection, surgical precision, and longitudinal outcomes, with an emphasis on escalation, consultation, and shared decision-making when indicated.
